Fantasy has always held a special place in my heart. From mythical creatures to the world they live in. Creating a form of escapism through characters and environment pieces is one of my goals when working. Currently I am the lead surfacing artist on a project called “Kai-jinks”. The setting is a child's bedroom and the models I surface are meant to look like they belong there. Damaged toys, wooden blocks, etc. They make it feel like someones growing up in it. Whether I am modeling or surfacing, the first step is to create the setting the object is going to be in. This way I can design the object so that it looks like it belongs. From there it’s on to the actual making of the object. With these skills my goal is to work in professional studios and provide work worthy of the big screen.
